By using check-host.org you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
The service
check-host.org provides free tools for network diagnostics: IP geolocation, availability checks, DNS lookups and route tracing. No registration is required. The service is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of availability or accuracy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to attack, overload or disrupt any network, server or website;
- send automated requests in large volumes or try to bypass our limits;
- use the results for illegal purposes, harassment or tracking people;
- copy and resell our data or present the service as your own.
We may limit or block access for anyone who abuses the service.
Data accuracy
Geolocation data comes from third-party databases and is approximate. It shows where an IP address is registered or routed, not where a person is. Do not rely on it for legal, financial or emergency decisions.
Third-party data
Results combine data from several sources, each under its own license:
- IP geolocation by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0;
- IPtoASN, released under the PDDL;
- delegation data from the Regional Internet Registries;
- the Tor exit node list by the Tor Project;
- ipwhois.io;
- network checks by the Globalping network;
- maps by OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles, map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of the service or from inaccurate data.
Intellectual property
The design, logo and code of check-host.org belong to us. Data from third-party sources belongs to its owners.
Changes
We may change these terms or the service at any time. The date at the top shows the current version. By continuing to use the service, you accept the updated terms.
